How Much Does a Business Cost in Ajman? (Asking Prices 2026)

How Much Does a Business Cost in Ajman? (Asking Prices 2026)

Short answer: Across 63 Ajman businesses listed on BusinessFinder.me between 2019 and 2026, the median asking price was about AED 195,000, and half asked between roughly AED 90,000 and AED 300,000. The 14 listed since 2024 had a median of about AED 242,500. Car washes, garages, salons and cafeterias were the cheapest common types; factories and industrial companies made up most of the expensive end. These are sellers’ asking prices, not final sale prices. For current opportunities, see our guide to business for sale in Ajman.

Where these figures come from

We went through BusinessFinder.me’s own archive of Ajman business ads that have since expired or been taken down. Before calculating anything we removed likely reposts, “partner wanted” ads, the placeholder price that appears on dozens of unrelated ads, one business that was listed twice at different prices (we kept the later listing), a bakery whose AED 12 million price did not match its stated sales, and five ads where it was not clear the business was in Ajman at all (for example an area that exists in Dubai, or a title that named another emirate).

That leaves 63 priced listings: 22 from 2019–2021, 27 from 2022–2023 and 14 from 2024–2026. Ajman is a smaller market than Dubai, so most groups below are small and should be read as a rough guide, not a price list. All figures describe groups of listings, never a single seller.

Businesses in Ajman, BusinessFinder.me listings 2019–2026 (asking prices). The “other” row includes one laundry.

Cafeterias were the most common operating business, and none asked more than AED 250,000. Garages and car washes were mostly cheap: eight of the ten asked AED 140,000 or less, and the one outlier near AED 1 million was a larger polishing, washing and tinting centre. Salons and barber shops asked AED 45,000 to AED 220,000. Restaurants spread more widely, from a small outlet under AED 50,000 to an established restaurant at AED 450,000.

The “other” group is where Ajman differs from Dubai. It is dominated by small factories, workshops, trading and service companies in the industrial areas, which is why its median is the highest and its range runs into the millions. For manufacturing prices across the country, see what a factory costs in the UAE.

Nearly two in three Ajman listings (40 of 63) asked under AED 250,000. The seven asking AED 1 million or more were mostly industrial: four manufacturing or metal-works companies, a water company, a gym and a pharmacy business. Ten sellers said in the ad that the price was negotiable.

Have Ajman business prices gone up?

2022–202327AED 160,000
2024–202614AED 242,500
All years63AED 195,000

The median stayed close to AED 150,000–160,000 until 2023, then rose to about AED 242,500 for listings from 2024 onwards (half of those asked between about AED 160,000 and AED 506,000). With only 14 recent listings, part of that rise simply reflects which businesses happened to be listed: several were restaurants, a café and a supermarket asking AED 220,000 to AED 300,000, plus two industrial companies above AED 1 million.

Across all years, Ajman businesses asked about the same as Sharjah and Abu Dhabi ones and less than Dubai. Since 2024, Ajman has had the lowest median of the four, though from a small sample. Rents are where Ajman stands out: the 13 Ajman listings that gave a yearly rent had a median of about AED 36,000, and half paid between about AED 25,000 and AED 48,000, compared with a median of about AED 60,000 in Sharjah. Areas with at least 5 priced listings.

Al Jurf had more restaurants and cafés plus a large gym, which lifted its median. Al Rashidiya listings were mainly groceries, salons and car-care businesses. The two industrial areas mixed small garages, workshops and trading firms from about AED 50,000 with manufacturers asking up to AED 3 million, so their medians hide a very wide spread. About four in ten ads named only the emirate, not the area.

How to check an Ajman business before you buy

  • Check the trade licence. Mainland licences in Ajman are issued by the Ajman Department of Economic Development (Ajman DED). Confirm the licensed activity, the expiry date and how the licence will be transferred or reissued in your name. A company in Ajman Free Zone is transferred through the free zone authority instead, usually as a share transfer.
  • Check the lease. Confirm how long is left on the tenancy contract, the rent after renewal, and that the landlord agrees to the transfer. Ajman rents are low, so a cheap asking price with a short lease can still be poor value.
  • Check approvals for the activity. Food businesses need municipality food-safety approval, clinics and pharmacies need a health licence, and workshops and factories need civil defence and environmental approvals. Make sure these can move to you.
  • Ask for real figures. Ask for bank statements and sales or delivery-app reports for at least 6 to 12 months. In our data only a handful of Ajman ads stated their sales at all.
  • Check staff, debts and equipment. Confirm which visas move with the business, who pays end-of-service benefits, that rent, utilities and suppliers are paid up to handover, and that the equipment list in the ad matches what is on site.
  • Remember these are asking prices. Deals often close below the first figure, especially where the seller has already said the price is negotiable.
